Honoring Recently Retired Trustees

September 30, 2025

We proudly celebrated several new and retiring Trustees and welcomed a new slate of officers at a special reception held on September 18 at Oak Brook Manor. Nearly 75 of our friends and partners joined the gathering commending the work of these committed volunteers.

“My wife, Dianne, and I are very thankful to have had the chance to learn and participate with DuPage Foundation’s talented staff and Board members,” said retiring Trustee Ted Saul. “Being involved in the Foundation’s work has really opened our eyes to the whole spectrum of needs in DuPage County.”

“We are deeply grateful for the incredible amount of energy and expertise these retiring volunteer leaders have brought to the Foundation during their tenure,” said Bill Blum, Foundation Board Chair. “DuPage Foundation operates with a small team, but a large network of dedicated volunteers, and our work in the community is only possible because of their service and advocacy.”

About Our Retiring Trustees

Patricia Atuesta served on the Board from 2023-2025. She continues to share her strategic planning and business organization talents as a member of our Strategic Planning Committee.

Andy Johnson served on the Board from 2021 to 2025 and recently stepped down after being elected Mayor of Warrenville. We’re grateful that he remains active on several committees and continues to support the Foundation’s mission. Andy’s vision and leadership as Strategic Planning Chair was integral in shaping our current strategic plan.

Dorothy O’Reilly joined the Board in 2014. As a local artist and arts advocate, she was a longtime member and leader of our Arts DuPage Advisory Committee and a dedicated supporter and vice chair of our Annual Benefit. Her leadership has helped elevate the arts across our community and make our Benefit one of our community’s most successful.

Ted Saul served on the Board from 2019 to 2025, including five years as an officer (Treasurer then Secretary). He also Served on our Campaign Committee and as Vice Chair of both the Financial Operations and Investment Committees.
