Applications Now Open for Three Grant Opportunities

May 18, 2026

At DuPage Foundation, we’re excited to announce that fall applications are now open for three of our grant programs: Community Impact Grants, Capacity Building Grants, and Glen Ellyn Fund Grants.

These opportunities are designed to support both the important work nonprofits are doing every day and the organizational strength needed to sustain that work long-term across DuPage County.

Community Impact Grants

Our Community Impact Grant Program is our signature grantmaking initiative, supporting programs and projects that improve quality of life for residents of DuPage County.

We award these grants in two annual cycles and our fall cycle supports nonprofits working in the following key issue areas:

  • Youth education
  • Workforce development
  • Environment
  • Animal welfare

Through our Seed, Sustain, Strengthen model, we’re able to support organizations at different stages of growth. Seed grants help emerging nonprofits build momentum, while Sustain grants provide larger funding opportunities for established programs and services already making an impact.

Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that primarily serve DuPage County residents or have a demonstrated presence in the county.

Strengthening Nonprofits Through Capacity Building

Our Capacity Building Grant Program* focuses on strengthening nonprofit organizations so they can operate more effectively and sustainably over time.

Funding may support initiatives such as:

  • Donor engagement and fundraising strategy development
  • Technology upgrades and implementation

These investments help organizations build the infrastructure and tools they need to sustain and expand their impact.

Capacity Building Grants are available to nonprofit organizations that have received a grant through our Community Impact or Arts DuPage grant programs within the past three years and primarily serve DuPage County residents.

The program funds a variety of initiatives that strengthen the community, including projects related to:

  • Arts and culture
  • Recreation and community programming
  • Environmental sustainability
  • Green space and community amenities
  • Infrastructure improvements

These grants help bring new ideas to life while supporting initiatives that contribute to a vibrant and thriving local community.
