Donor-Advised Funds

Donor-Advised Funds are a popular and effective charitable tool. Through this flexible option, donors can build charitable capital and streamline their giving to their favorite local and national nonprofits while we handle the paperwork, investments, and tax reporting. Donor-advised funds are also great tools for private foundations looking to sunset into a lower-maintenance option, enjoy more favorable tax treatment and anonymity, or benefit from the expertise of our programs team.

Nonprofit Endowment & Investment Funds

  • Endowment Funds (Designated Funds): These are set up by donors to benefit a specific nonprofit, or by the organization itself. Designated funds are permanently endowed and provide an annual stream of income to a nonprofit—year after year—in support of its mission, while protecting the fund’s principal and helping it continue to grow over time. They can also be restricted to a specific purpose within a nonprofit, such as for a particular service, program, or need.
  • Investment Funds (Agency Funds): These funds are set up by nonprofit organizations as “quasi” or “board-designated” endowments, allowing local organizations to invest for the future or save for a particular program or capital project, and ensure its charitable resources are wellmanaged while still maintaining control over the fund with access to its principal and income.
