Arts DuPage Celebrates 10 Years and Invests in the Future Through Youth Arts Education
Currently celebrating its 10th year of supporting, promoting, and advocating for the arts throughout DuPage County, Arts DuPage awards grants across the arts sector. During its recent fall cycle, it awarded several grants in support of
area nonprofit programs reaching youth across our community through music, theatre, dance, and performance.
Youth arts education helps young people build creativity, confidence, and critical life skills while strengthening school communities across DuPage County. Students engaged in the arts show higher motivation, stronger attendance, and deeper connection to learning. These benefits extend beyond the classroom and support long-term academic and personal success. Through Arts DuPage grants, we support organizations expanding access to high-quality arts education so more young people can learn, express themselves, and thrive.
Meet Three Arts DuPage Grantees Making An Impact Through Youth Arts Education
ANIMA – GLEN ELLYN CHILDREN’S CHORUS
Anima provides choral education for students in grades 3–12 through age-based ensembles. Singers build vocal technique, music literacy, and performance skills while engaging with repertoire from diverse cultures and traditions. With support from
Arts DuPage, Anima can continue delivering rigorous instruction, meaningful performance opportunities, and a strong sense of community, while also providing financial assistance to ensure equitable access to musical training for students.

DUPAGE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
DuPage Symphony Orchestra’s Guest Artist Residency program brings internationally recognized musicians into DuPage County classrooms. During the 2025-2026 season, more than 30 residencies are reaching more than 7,500 students, many of whom are experiencing live symphonic music for the first time. Developed in partnership with educators, each residency connects musical study to skills such as focus, teamwork, and resilience.

ILLINOIS CONSERVATORY FOR THE ARTS
Illinois Conservatory for the Arts offers pre-professional training in musical theater and dance for youth across DuPage County. Arts DuPage funding supports tuition assistance, faculty artist stipends, and core programming, helping reduce financial barriers for students from underserved communities. ICA’s summer intensives, after-school conservatory program, and masterclasses provide industry-informed instruction. This support allows ICA to meet growing demand while ensuring access to advanced arts education is based on talent and commitment.
