What Are These Funds?

Nonprofit Endowment and Investment Funds are tools that help organizations plan for the future, ensure their financial stability, and support their long-term goals. By partnering with us, nonprofits can establish a dedicated fund to build an endowment, invest reserve dollars, or save for major projects.

These funds give nonprofits access to expert investment management and the benefits of being part of a larger, professionally managed portfolio. With a minimum opening deposit of $25,000, we offer Nonprofit Endowment and Investment Funds as two flexible fund models to fit your organization’s needs.

What Are Investment Funds (Agency Funds)?

These funds are set up by nonprofit organizations as “quasi” or “board-designated” endowments, allowing local organizations to invest for the future or save for a particular program or capital project, and ensure its charitable resources are well-managed while still maintaining control over the fund with access to its principal and income.

What Are Nonprofit Endowment Funds (Designated Funds)?

These are set up by donors to benefit a specific nonprofit, or by the organization itself. Designated funds are permanently endowed and provide an annual stream of income to a nonprofit—year after year—in support of its mission, while protecting the fund’s principal and helping it continue to grow over time. They can also be restricted to a specific purpose within a nonprofit, such as for a particular service, program, or need.

Each year, the Foundation distributes between 4% and 5% of the Fund’s average balance (based on a 12-quarter rolling average), following our spending policy. This option is ideal for nonprofits and donors who want to protect the principal of their investment while creating a stable, long-term source of funding.
