Be Part of the Good

Being a philanthropist in your community goes beyond giving financially—it’s also about showing up, sharing your time, your voice, and your connections to help build something bigger together. At DuPage Foundation, we believe in the power of community-led philanthropy and the impact that happens when neighbors come together for a common purpose. There are many ways to get involved, meet other community-focused people, and do a world of good, right here, in your own backyard.

All In DuPage

All In DuPage is our bold call to action for everyone who calls DuPage County home. We’re a community of 39 vibrant cities and towns—full of energy, talent, and opportunity—but we also face real challenges. Many of our neighbors struggle with housing instability, food insecurity, mental health concerns, and have limited access to health care, workforce training, and early childhood education programs. And while our arts and culture scene thrives, it too needs continued support to remain a strong economic driver and catalyst for inspiring creativity and expression.

We believe in DuPage. We believe we have the people, ideas, and resources to solve our most pressing challenges and build a stronger future. But it will take all of us working together in generosity, collaboration, and focus.

That’s why we’ve created our All In DuPage Campaign—to grow our community’s capacity for lasting, collective impact, right where it’s needed most.

Campaign Priorities & Goals

Impact: Grants That Make a Difference

Through our Community Impact grant program, All In DuPage aims to build our capacity to annually provide responsive, targeted support to local nonprofits addressing our community’s greatest challenges and opportunities. Together, we will expand our impact to:

  • Double our grantmaking from our discretionary community endowments to more than $2 million per year;
  • Broaden the types of grants we award to a Seed, Sustain, and Strengthen model of grantmaking to be more responsive to the needs of our nonprofits and their clients; and,
  • Increase high-level, strategic grantmaking through our Capacity Building and Transformational grants to help our nonprofits scale and serve our community more effectively.

Goal: $25 million in endowed, unrestricted, and field-of-interest funds to strengthen our annual responsive community grantmaking.

Sustainability: A Foundation Fit for the Future

As DuPage County’s champion for philanthropy, we play a central role in maintaining the sustainability of our community’s nonprofit sector and helping donors discover and achieve their charitable goals—locally and beyond.

Investing in our sustainability by building our Operating Endowment is essential to help us:

  • Support and expand our mission-critical work of sharing our expert local knowledge and creating opportunities for collective impact among our donors and community partners;
  • Strengthen our infrastructure to keep pace with rapidly growing community needs and increased demand for our leadership and services; and,
  • Dedicate more staff time and resources directly to help our donors and partners support our community and achieve their goals.

Goal: $10 million in endowed operating funds to power DuPage Foundation for generations to come.

DuPage Funders’ Collaborative

Working Together for Greater Impact

At DuPage Foundation, we believe collaboration makes us stronger. That’s why we lead the DuPage Funders’ Collaborative, a growing network of local funders working side by side to better serve our county.

Learn About the Collaborative

  • What It Is
    The Collaborative brings together area foundations, donor-advisors, businesses, and public partners to share insights, coordinate efforts, and fund solutions that make a real difference. Each funder brings their own priorities, but we work together to find shared goals and maximize impact.
  • How It Works
    We host regular gatherings—both large and small—to talk about community needs and how we can address them together. We focus on key issues, including capacity building, workforce development, mental health, food access, healthcare, and housing. We share knowledge, coordinate funding, and look for ways to avoid duplication and increase services for local residents.
  • Why It Matters
    By working together, funders can stretch their dollars further and make smarter, more strategic decisions. The Foundation’s goal is to build strong partnerships that lead to stronger outcomes—for nonprofits, for funders, and most importantly, for our neighbors across DuPage.
