We’re Hiring a Vice President for Advancement

At DuPage Foundation, we’re entering an exciting new chapter of growth—and we’re looking for our next Vice President for Advancement to help lead the way.

After a successful three-year tenure helping significantly grow our capacity, impact, and partnerships across the community, Michael Trench, our current Vice President for Advancement, has decided to transition to a part-time, Senior Philanthropy Officer role with us by July 1. In preparation for this transition, we are excited to identify Michael’s successor for this vital role.

The Vice President for Advancement is a key member of our leadership team. They are responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive advancement strategy that expands our philanthropic capacity to deliver maximum community impact while overseeing our fundraising and charitable services program to:

  • Secure major and planned gifts to grow our community’s permanent charitable endowment
  • Help people and organizations accomplish their unique charitable goals, efficiently and effectively
  • Celebrate and steward our donors and partners
  • Elevate the Foundation’s reputation as DuPage County’s champion for philanthropy

The successful candidate will lead a talented, growing Advancement team and help foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation across the organization that strengthens relationships with key stakeholders including area donors, professional advisors, businesses, foundations, nonprofits, and community leaders.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of building strong relationships, leading and developing high-performing teams, and executing successful fundraising campaigns and charitable services programs that have annually generated millions of dollars. This individual must possess a high degree of organization, initiative, curiosity, integrity, and empathy, along with a genuine desire to raise the quality of life throughout DuPage County.
